Well doesn’t time fly when you are having fun? We are already at our Autumn Half-Term and what a lot we have done so far.
Aside from the daily doses of Phonics, Numeracy & Literacy sessions we have all been working hard on our topic work. Reception, Year 1 & Year 2 have all been working on Dinosaurs, a topic that has proved popular with all the children. Years 3 & 4 have been working on “Lights, Music & Action” covering everything from Artwork to Ukuleles. All around the school this last week have been groups of children and adults feverishly sticking work into the children’s topic books.
Here are some of the extra things we have done this half term:
- A visit from the Fire Brigade
- Road Safety Awareness
- Luminous Tales – Shadow Puppet Show
- Dinostars – Dinosaur Roadshow
- Skipping Workshops
- Multi Skills Sports Days
- Harvest Festival
- Year 3 Class Assembly
- School Photographs
We are really proud of what the children and the school have achieved so far this term and are really looking forward to the second half. With Christmas fast approaching we will all be busier than ever. We’d better start thinking about Easter then!
