The days are starting to get shorter, the conkers have fallen and the wind is pushing the leaves around the playground whilst we dodge the rain. For a couple of weeks now the school has been a hive of activity with the sound of harvest songs being heard around the building. Today all the hard work came together for our annual visit to the beautiful All Saints Church.
The children gathered in the playground after registration whilst the sun shone down and a quite buzz of excitement filled the air. All classes assembled, we snaked our way through the village and up to the church.
Already waiting for us were the parents, grandparents, carers and friends, filling the church to capacity. Each class had prepared a harvest song which was introduced to the eager audience by members of the Hornets class. All classes performed beautifully and a special mention must be made of the wonderful singing by the staff and children of the Wilstead Pre-School.
We would like to say thank you to everyone at the church. They graciously allow us to use their wonderful building and look after us so well every time we visit.
Finally, a huge thank you to you the parents for being so generous with your donations. As last year, the donations are being sent to the Bedford Daycare Hospice (Gladys Ibbett House) who provide care for people with life limiting illness.
So, next stop Christmas!
