Finally! We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in our search for a new head teacher and have appointed Mr L. Robichaud who will take up the post in April 2014.
Mr Robichaud is currently a deputy head in Cambridgeshire, working across a partnership of four schools. He has teaching and leadership experience across early years, key stage one and key stage two and has a passion for primary education which he is eager to bring to Wilstead.
In accepting the post, Mr Robichaud said
I am looking forward to working with all of you in the future and hope to have many successful years as head at your wonderful school. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in the process across the school and in the wider community and especially to the children for making the process an enjoyable one.
The subject of which candidate was chose has been a hot topic amongst the children at the school, many of whom were involved in the selection process, and they will be very excited to meet their new head who will be starting to work with Mrs Robertson over the next term to get to know them, and the school.
We all offer Mr Robichaud our sincere congratulations!
