We get up to a whole range of activities during a week at Wilstead and when it snows we have extra fun! Here are a few of the things we did this week.
Across the school we have been working hard at Literacy and Numeracy. Some of us have been learning about time, some worked on fractions and division and others have been looking at perimeters and areas of 2D shapes.
In Reception class we have been showing off our fabulous homework on our class pets. You can read more about that here.
Ladybirds have been learning, re-telling and re-enacting the Three Little Pigs story. We had a lot of fun with hand puppets and even had our own houses made out of straw, sticks and bricks.
Our Dragonflies class have been building and testing boats this week. We took them out to our pond to test our designs. The large “iceberg” in the pond added a great touch, especially as we have been learning about Titanic in class. Read more…
You may have noticed that we had a little bit of snow at the beginning of the week. We were a little bit excited about this and some of us even managed to get out and make some snow sculpture. So, how do you match such a fab start to the week? With a Well Done Assembly of course! So, well done to our 5 stars of the week who all came up to receive their certificates and stickers. Our Hornets class were the proud recipients of the Officer Larry Behaviour Award and the current winners of the house points competition is……….
Oh and one final thing, we have a new school pet. Say hello to Bob.
