Sport Relief Day

On Friday 18th March we celebrated Sport Relief in school.  We kick started the day with a shared breakfast which had a great turn out.  Throughout the day children had the opportunity to join in with a variety of sporting activities including cricket, bowls, dodgeball and the all important Sport Relief mile.  In total as a school we ran, walked, skipped, hopped, jumped and rolled over 130 miles raising £439.92 for Sport Relief.  This donation by the children of Wilstead Lower School will help children and adults both in the UK and further afield.

On the day the children showed a great sense of co-operation, responsibility and sportsmanship cheering each other on in the mile and supporting each other in the activities.  We must also give special thanks to those at Elstow Cricket Club and Wilstead Bowls club for giving their time to provide such great activities and coaching to the children on Friday. A great day was had by all.
