Wilstead Lower School Harvest Festival

What a crop of Super Stars!

Wilstead Lower School Harvest FestivalToday was the annual Wilstead Lower School Harvest Festival held at All Saints Church, Wilstead.

After hours and hours of practice by the children, tireless preparation by the teaching staff and the church it was finally the big day.   As the  whole school gathered in the playground under a stormy autumnal sky there was a real buzz of excitement in the air.  After walking up to the church (sorry about the traffic jams!)  we filled the pews and got ready to begin.

Each class had prepared something special and the performances, introduced by the Year 4 children, were flawless.  We even enjoyed listening to the parents singing along with All Things Bright & Beautiful!

Harvest Festival - Wilstead Lower SchoolWe would like to say a huge thank you to all the children and staff for their hard work and a well done for a great performance.  A special mention must also go to the children of Wilstead Pre-School and the Bluebell Nursery who sang so beautifully.

Rev Toze and the members of All Saints church make us feel very welcome every year and we would like to say a big thank you to them.

Finally, a huge thank you to you the parents for being so generous with your donations.  As last, the donations are being sent to the Bedford Daycare Hospice (Gladys Ibbett House) who provide care for people with life limiting illness.

So, next stop Christmas!
